Inspired by Music

Inspired by Music, that's me.

My father was a classical pianist. I grew up listening to the greats of classical music. (Beethoven, Mozart, etc). He loved to play and encouraged me with his musical spirit. I never learned to play the piano, didn't have the patience.

My mother loved country music as did my grandmother. Listening to country music and the sounds of the grand ole opry were favorites in our home. We knew the songs, we loved the musicians.

I grew up in the era of Motown; in the Midwest, listening to the sounds of Smokey Robinson, the Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, and others. The soulful sounds of R&B music inspired me. Smokey's soothing voice and poetic words grabbed my soul.

Along came the Eagles, Bob Seger, and Journey. In my teens I listened to it all. Rock-n-Roll and Elvis. These are the songs I grew up with. I began to dream.

Inspired by music all my life, I love the various genres. Today I'm listening to Contemporary Christian artists, the sounds of gospel, and music that inspires my spirit.

With promising songs, words that captivate the heart, music to me is like breathing. I can't live without it.

My goal is to share with you, the reader, a little journey behind the music. Taking a look at the artists, the stories, and the music that inspired history and for generations to come, so grab your headphones and stay for a while.
